I hope everyone has a great Valentine’s Day! You don’t need a partner to celebrate love. Love your friends, family, animals, and most importantly you. I know it’s not easy for everyone, and that’s okay. One day isn’t going to magically change you, but it can be about loving others. And maybe you can find a part of yourself you love too. It doesn’t have to be big. You can even love your fingernails. As long as you love something about yourself, that’s all that matters. You have to respect yourself to love yourself. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading my reviews on the viral makeup I tried this week!

Too Faced Kissing Jelly Lip Gloss Set

Shout out to @beautydealsbff on IG, because I never would have known about this deal without her. Go follow her on IG! There was a 3-piece Too Faced kissing jelly lip gloss set for $34 on HSN, and I couldn’t pass that up. I tried to include all three at the beginning of the TikTok video I made but, my hand is only big enough to hold two. #disabledproblems

It included sour watermelon, raspberry, and bubblegum.  Sour watermelon smells so good! I’m ready to break it out for spring and summer. Raspberry smells more like jam to me, and it was a little more pigmented than sour watermelon, but other than that there’s not a lot of difference between the two other than the smell. Bubblegum smells really good. It actually reminds me of the liquid antibiotics they used to give us when we were little that tasted like bubblegum 😂

I was a very sick child. I still can’t eat anything cherry or grape flavored, because of all the medicine I had to take.

Anyway, it’s very pretty, smells really good, and the glitter is amazing. It’s very holographic, so it changes into different colors in different lighting. It’s mainly purple, but I saw orange too. I’ve been wearing it everyday since.

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Pound Cake

I finally tried the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Pound Cake. I swear, I haven’t been able to buy Pound Cake since it went viral. I’ve been using the Beauty Bakerie Face Flour Baking Powder to control my excess oil, and nothing has EVER worked better than this.

However I want to start baking again, because…you know…2016 makeup forever 😂 I figured it’s time to try something else under my eyes, because the flour powder is just to keep me matte all day.

I thought Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder was okay, which surprised me, because so many people rave about it. It didn’t really brighten or cover my under eye area, and it’s cakey on me.

I mean, the face flower baking powder doesn’t do that either, but I figured the Huda Beauty setting powder would at least highlight the area more. And to be fair, Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Setting and Finishing Powder is the only one that gives me some coverage. I think my skin is too textured for most powders.

Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain in Burst

I finally found the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain in Burst, and I’m so excited! I don’t know why, but I expected it to smell like candy, because it looks like candy. I put it directly on one cheek, and dipped my brush for the other. I like applying it directly to my face more. I think it gives me better pigmentation. I know it dries fast, but I’ll just have to do one cheek at a time.

Personally, I think it’s too hard for me to dip my brush, because that involves holding it. Whereas dipping my brush in powder or cream blush is a lot easier for me, because it’s in a compact or palette. It’s definitely more pink than I expected, which I loved because most pink blushes look red on me. It’s no wonder it made the viral makeup category, because it look great. It gave me the best pinkish kind of color on my cheeks. I don’t think I’m a lip tint person though, at least right now. I’ll use this as a blush for the time being. I can see myself wearing it more in the summer though.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Birthday Cake

I was able to preorder the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Birthday Cake, and let me tell you…on Friday it was a struggle to pick which video I wanted to upload first. Did I choose Summer Fridays or the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly first. I’m pretty sure I just closed my eyes and picked one. As a procrastinator, I’m in capable of making decisions.

Let’s start with the packaging. It’s not as matte like the other butter balm tubes. It has a slight gleam to it. Or maybe I’m just blind, and it looks shinier because it’s rose gold. I’m assuming the color of the tube is because of the glitter in the butter balm. I really wish I could have shown off the glitter in my video, but there was no way it was going to show up unless I had two more ring lights.

It smells like cake batter, and It reminds me of the cake batter ice cream at Cold Stone. It was my staple in college. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it’s definitely not as smooth and buttery as the rest of the butter balms. I’m assuming it’s a different formula because of the glitter. It seems like this is standard for formulas containing glitter.

Do I care? No. Because it smells heavenly. This is my first full size butter balm, because I bought the limited edition mini set when it came out. It’s been perfect for me, so I wasn’t planning to buy a full size tube until I finished one.

But when I saw birthday cake, I knew (you know I like being dramatic). Anyway, it’s going in my cup holder with the rest of lip glosses I’m currently wearing.

Conclusion

As Valentine’s Day passes, remember that love is more than romantic relationships. It’s our friendships, families, furry companions, and most importantly, to ourselves. While the day itself may not feel different than any other day, it’s a reminder to celebrate the love that surrounds us in all its forms. Whether it’s finding joy in small things like favorite lip gloss sets or embracing self-care with beauty products that make us feel good. The appreciation you show yourself adds to our self-respect and self-love.
