I’m so excited I got the Huda Beauty Faux Filler Shiny Non-Sticky Lip Gloss in Sugar Baby before it sold out. I ordered it for pickup at Sephora, because it wasn’t available online. When I got my pickup email, it said that it was out of stock, but when I got there, it was in my bag.

I was a little nervous about the cap, because it’s shorter. Longer ones are easier to hold for me, but I was excited I could hold it! It’s definitely not as short as I thought. I hardly have any grip strength, so the longer it is will be easier to hold.

It’s a very pretty light pink color, but it’s not too sheer that you can’t see the pigment. And it’s definitely shiny and non sticky. A lot gets on the dofa applicator, so you only need one swipe across your lips. This makes it easy for me to apply.

It actually might be too much, so apply it with a light hand! I don’t know if it’s because it’s extra shiny, but it does make your lips look fuller without the sting of plumping. I actually think it would look really good over Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink in Upbeat. I wasn’t crazy about the color when I tried it looked too frosty on me, but I think it would be good under the Huda Sugar Baby.

Does it really smell like watermelon though?

I swear, The Gisou Honey Infused Hydrating Lip Oil in Watermelon Sugar had me in a chokehold as soon as I saw it. I was worried about the smell. I have the original shimmer lip oil, and even though the smell doesn’t bother me that much, I really wanted something called watermelon sugar to have a sweet smell.

So I’m happy to report watermelon sugar smells like watermelon sugar. The texture isn’t as oily either. Does it have a slight oil undertone. It smells sweet as soon as you open it too. It’s also feels less oily than the original, which I like.

I love the regular cap with the regular dofa applicator. I feel like a few cosmetic items have been harder to hold for me because of the shape, so it was nice to hold a “normal” cap. Not that it would stop me from using anything. It just makes my life a little easier

Lawless Forget The Filler Lip Plumping Line Smoothing Lip Gloss

had to dip it twice to get the right amount for my upper and lower lip, which I’m sure the average person doesn’t think of. But when you’re disabled, everything counts.

I got the Lawless Forget The Filler Lip Plumping Line Smoothing Lip Gloss in Juicy Watermelon (Lawd that’s a long ass name). And. Oh. My. God. It has to be the freshest watermelon sent I have ever smelled. It actually smells like you just opened a watermelon.

I swear, I have never felt more ready for summer. I was curious to see if this would be more pink or red on me, because it’s sort of hard to tell in the frosted tube. It’s a light pink, which l like. I know this is shocking, but I mainly wear pink and purple, so I don’t wear a lot of red.

It’s another thick lipgloss, which I love, but it’s non-sticky too. I don’t believe the other glosses have a matching scent, but I could be wrong, because my collection is pretty big 😆 I learned my lesson the first time I tried Lawless, because you definitely can’t put too much on, or it becomes stringy.

I swear, there are so many brands upping their lip scents, it’s crazy. I’m going to have to make a section just for my favorite scents soon

It’s great that I was able to get the Huda Beauty Faux Filler with the initial confusion with the pickup email. The shorter cap might take some getting used to, but it’s good to see that it’s not as short as I feared. The Gisou Honey Infused Hydrating Lip Oil in Watermelon Sugar has a sweet watermelon scent. With a name like that I was hoping delivered on the scent, and it definitely did. Juicy Watermelon from Lawless has a fresh watermelon scent that really has the essence of summer. Be careful about not applying too much, because with a formula like Lawless, it can become stringy if you overdue it.
