Let’s talk about some soft summer makeup finds that I’ve been trying out lately. We’re going to go over three amazing makeup products: the Forever DIOR Couture Luminizer, the Tower 28 Lip and Shine Lip Set, and the Pixi Beauty On-the-Glow Blush. These sparkly and shiny products will make you feel like a princess all summer long.

Forever DIOR Couture Luminizer

I’m not gonna lie. I bought the Forever DIOR Couture Luminizer in Coral Glow because the compact is absolutely beautiful. I wore my Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush in Happy, and I’m not sure if this affected anything-but I literally could not see a difference between the two.

DIOR looks incredibly sparkly in the compact, so I thought it would come on more as a highlighter. Especially since the Rare Beauty blush doesn’t have any glitter, and is a sheen. I applied a lot to the top of my cheek, and couldn’t tell the difference. There’s no glitter in Rare Beauty, but they looked the same on me. Talk about good soft summer makeup from both of them!

I think that’s why I expected the DIOR to be more of a highlighter. It literally sparkles as soon as soon as you open the compact. Is it gorgeous? Yes. Yes it is, but you can get the same thing for much cheaper.

I’m not sure if this is an exact dupe, but it sure looks like it on me. The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Blush is $26 but the DIOR Luminizer is $50, so there’s definitely a price difference. I think go with Rare Beauty if you want to save money, but if you want luxury, DIor is the way to go.

Tower 28 Lip and Shine Lip Set

I tried the Tower 28 lip and shine lip set, and I’m so excited to have a lip liner again. I’ve mentioned this before, but liners just aren’t a priority for me. I don’t have the energy by the time I’m done doing my makeup. I have the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Pillow Talk lip liner, but I’m pretty sure most people have one by now. Plus, it’s a hassle to sharpen them.

I like to do things as independently as possible, but I’m starting to get jealous because all my besties who line their lips look so good! The lipgloss is called Iced Pistachio and the lip liner is called What A Day. Using the pencil was easy, because it’s not like I’ve never used a lip liner before. The lip gloss is a light pink with beautiful gold flecks, and looks great with the lip liner. A perfect combo for anyone looking for the soft summer makeup look.

It has been a while though. I was trying to lightly fill my lips in, but I just ended up coloring them in. I wanted to see what the lip gloss looks like with just the liner, but I clearly need to practice.

Pixi Beauty On-the-Glow Blush

I’m excited about the Pixi Beauty On-the-Glow Blush in Cheektone, especially since I’ve never tried it. I wasn’t sure it was something I could actually hold with my disability. It’s shaped like a deodorant stick, so I never paid too much attention to it.

Powder blush and a brush are always easier for me to apply, so that’s what I mainly stick with. If a cream blush is in a compact, I can switch brushes and use it too. I’ve been playing with a lot of glowy makeup with my oily face lately, so I thought it was time to try it. Is it just as easy as using a powder brush?

No, but it’s not that difficult either. I wish it was a tad more pigmented, so I’m going to keep my eye out for a darker color, because they’re constantly sold out at my Target. It has a nice sheen like the Rare Beauty blush, and I love it! It’s not dewy enough to make me more oily, but it gives me a subtle highlight for soft summer makeup.

Conclusion

My experience is the Dior Luminizor is a lot like the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Lumizer that’s more budget-friendly. The Tower 28 Lip and Shine set comes with a lip liner and lip gloss, making it convenient to have a liner and gloss that go perfectly together. The Pixi Beauty On-the-Glow Blush Gives a subtle sheen that’s not dewy, but looks like a natural flush of color, so if you’re looking for soft summer makeup, give the color Cheektone a try. If you want luxury, convenience, or affordability in your makeup routine, any of these three products would be great to have.
