Let’s talk makeup! Let’s go into some exciting makeup from this past week. From the sought-after Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush to the colorful hues of the Magical Guardian Shimmer Palette, it’s like playing with a treat. We’ll also check out the NYX Pro Fix It Stick Color Correcting Concealer. It’s all about fun, shimmer, and finding the perfect look for you.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush in Happy

Let’s talk about the new Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush in Happy, and I’m so glad I was able to order it online. My Sephora sold out quickly, not that it’s a big surprise!

I think this ended up being better, because I also bought a Rare Beauty puffy makeup bag. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to grab that at Sephora. They were always sold out of the color I wanted online, but when I saw it, it was an automatic add to cart kinda day.

Happy is a cool pink, and it also comes in five other colors. I’m glad I got this one because it’s darker than the other pink colors, and I wasn’t sure how pigmented it would be. It’s on like lighter side for me, but I built it up, and loved the color. I think another color would be too light on my skin tone.

It has such a nice sheen to it. When it was revealed, I thought it was going to be more of a blush highlighter. That doesn’t usually stay long on me with my oily skin, but it’s not glittering at all. Like I said, it has a nice sheen to it, which will look good in the summer. I love all these light and breezy colors brands are coming out with this year!

Magical Guardian Shimmer Duochrome Palette

I bought the magical guardian shimmer palette that’s really popular on TikTok by Vy Expressions, because I’m a shopaholic and I can’t help myself. It’s not an addiction, it’s a hobby! And since this was $20, it’s a cheap hobby… at least for this week.

It really reminds me of Danessa Myricks eyeshadows, because the shine and pigmentation are very similar. There’s eight shimmer colors in the palette, and they all shift in different angles and lights. It all started with Venus, which is an orange shade but looks really pink in the palette.

I wasn’t sure what kind of look I was going for, because I just wanted to play with the colors. I used my One/Size bronzer trio in darker, and took the lightest shade on top as a base. Picking the next color was harder since I wasn’t sure what color I would do next, but I couldn’t resist trying the purple shimmer, Mars.

I was kicking myself because I just put on the light bronzer, so I thought the purple would look muddy. Luckily, it looked great! I was shocked. These are stronger than regular shimmer eyeshadows. It’s hard to tell how they’ll show up on skin because of the holographic colors, but they’re beautiful.

After Mars was on, I used Moon to do the inner corner of my eyes. It has to be one of the brightest colors I’ve ever put on. It almost looks like an icy blue from certain angles. Nex time I think I’ll put it on my lid, because she definitely needs her own moment.

I just used these 3 colors, because of my hooded eyes. I normally don’t like to use more than three, because I have such limited eyelid space. But I I just got the new Rare Beauty luminous powder blush in Happy, so I used it to blend Venus in. I can’t believe how well they matched! I was just making it up as I go, and wanted an excuse to use it.

NYX Pro Fix It Stick Color Correcting Concealer

The week I also tried out the NYX Pro Fix It Stick, because wanted to know if it would be easier for me to hold than other stick concealers, because of how slim it is. I know a lot of concealers come in stick form, but it’s a lot easier for me to hold anything thinner.

I used a few Fenty Beauty Match Stix last week, and they weren’t too bad for me to hold, but the angles made it slightly more difficult. It’s not something I would stop using it over, but I like to see how different things work for me.

It was hard for me to blend out the Fix It Stick with a blender, because it’s a drier formula. I’m going to try it again, so I can do one section at a time. I’m hoping that will help blend it in better, because I really like how brightening it is.

I switched to my Sigma Kabuki brush since using a sponge wasn’t working, and that was a little easier. It was still hard for me to blend out, because it’s a drier formula. I’m going to try it again, so I can do one section at a time. I’m hoping that will help blend it in better, because I really like how brightening it is.

I really loved the way it made my forehead look though! I think it might be worth keeping just for that.

Conclusion

I tried Rare Beauty’s Happy blush and loved it! Ordering online was easy, and I even got a cute makeup bag. Happy’s cool pink shade suits me well, and its sheen is perfect for summer. Then, I played with the Magical Guardian Shimmer Palette, which has beautiful colors that shift in the light. The eyeshadows were stunning, especially Moon, which gave a bright icy blue look. Lastly, I tested NYX’s Pro Fix It Stick concealer. It’s slim and easy to hold, but the drier formula made blending a bit tricky. Still, it gave my forehead a nice brightness.
