Eyeliner Stencil Magic | Accessible Beauty for Every Face

I love trying adaptive beauty products. Especially if they aren’t made specifically for that purpose, but they end up being easy to use. I recently found this Eye Go Eyeliner stencil on Amazon, and when I saw they were stickers, it was like a lightbulb went off over my head. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the viral eyebrow stamp on TikTok, but I was so jealous I couldn’t hold a stencil and stamp to my forehead to try it. I still bought it anyway. Like Ariana said, I want it, I got it.

I figured it would be good to have on vacation, because it’s really hard to do my makeup without my vanity setup. This is the best and worst part of any vacation.  I need help when I’m away from home, so I figured a stencil and eyebrow stamp would be easy for anyone to handle. Hopefully. The one time I went on vacation this year, I forgot it at home, but I digress. Needless to say, I thought this was my opportunity to try something kind of similar.

The Beth Bender Beauty Pro Go Eyeliner Stencil is “Flexible, easy to use and made to fit most eye shapes and eye sizes. They can be cut to desired fullness look. Our eye stencils are hypoallergenic and work with hooded lids so most everyone can enjoy the ease of creating a professional look from home.” The hooded eyes sold me, but if you like eyeliner on your lash line you would have to fill it in. The stickers are for the corner of your eyes, and don’t extend that far in.

The stickers remind me of medical tape. It has the same texture, except it’s a little more sticky. I was expecting the stencil to be a little longer. My eyeliner has to go farther out because of my almond-shaped eyes. It was actually too short for me. I like it longer otherwise when I smile, it completely disappears 😂 I really thought stickers would be easy for me, but I was totally wrong. I went through several stencils because I couldn’t place it on the right area. The stickiness didn’t last after a few tries, not that I expected it to. I just had to do it several times on my left eye before I got it right. I’m still not sure I did, but it was in the right place, so I left it.

It was nice to try an eyeliner stencil, but after struggling so hard I knew it wasn’t for me. I didn’t want to give up though. I’m stubborn that way, but when my neck started to hurt it was time to stop. I was still able to do one eye, so that’s cool. It didn’t occur to me about placing the stencil without a mirror. I don’t think that would have mattered though.

I’ve been doing my lipstick without a mirror for years, so I figured it would be the same way. Lipstick stays on the lips, so I always knew I had to pay attention if I went off course. I guess I thought eyeliner stickers would be the same way. It goes outside the corner of your eye, so how hard can it be? Very hard, apparently. Even though eyeliner and mascara takes me the longest to do, it would be faster to do it myself.

I would need assistance for the eyeliner stencils, but that defeats the purpose of why I wanted them. Not that it’s an issue. I just wanted to be able to do it myself, and I can without the stencil. However, they would still be great for anyone who has the coordination to lift their hand to their eye. Even if you did need them placed on everyday. There’s no shame in that, but again, I think if the stencil were longer I’d probably go that route. Maybe not everyday (who am I kidding, I don’t put makeup on every day), but it wouldn’t be a total loss.

Still, I think anyone who has a hard time doing their eyeliner would benefit from them. Especially if they have any tremors, or starting to experiment with makeup. A lot comes in one pack (I almost bought two), and according to the description, you can reuse them again. I think that would be true if you place the sticker on right every time. After trying to use them more than twice, they would have to be thrown away. It’s still a really good concept, and can help a lot of people. It doesn’t have to work for everyone, but if it makes their life easier, I’m all for it.
